What is a laminectomy
A laminectomy involves removing part of the vertebral arch (lamina) to widen the spinal canal. By creating more space, the procedure reduces pressure on the spinal cord and nerve roots, alleviating pain and neurological symptoms.
Indications for surgery
- Spinal canal stenosis with progressive leg weakness

The procedure
